Well, I went on a tour of CVA (College of Visual Arts) today.
Pros:
~Art = <3
~Even smaller than MCAD (about 200 students total)
~Absolutely adorable neighborhood (It has cobblestone streets and victorian style buildings ^o^)
~One of the main buildings is an old mansion (which is a little creepy but still cool)
~AMAZING view of the river from the mansion place
Cons:
~Buildings are too far apart (one is two miles away from the others and no transportation is provided)
~Horrible studio spaces (no windows, very basement-like)
~They don't feed you or house you (you're on your own there)
~All the students we met were really socially awkward
Overall, it's okay.
But I don't really feel like they presented themseleves very well.
Several times I caught them contradicting themselves or giving not entirely true information.
I don't think they did it intentionally, but it's still very unprofessional.
And the student representatives didn't make a whole lot of sense when they were talking to us.
"Yeah, I had my own place for like five months. Then my boyfriend moved in with me to cut the cost. But he's a design major and I'm an illustration major. So we don't get along very well."
...Then why is he your boyfriend?
She reminded me of a chihuahua =_=;;
I'll probably still apply but I'm not so keen on going there.
I'll just have to work extra hard to try and get into MCAD.
