So it's the last day of summer.
What am I gonna do?
Clean, of course =D

The past two days I've been cleaning my room like mad. My bookshelf (which I named William) looks crazy organized. But, being the pack rat that I am, I had to get rid of a bunch of stuff. Some of my books have been moved to Mikachu's room (he has a nice place to put them), some are now in my closet, and some have been banished to the basement. I want to turn our family room (that no one uses anymore) into a library but I don't think it'll happen ;_;

I have also accepted the challenge of cleaning out my closet which is a suicide mission. My closet is like a time machine. I found an antique silver baby rattle in there o_o
It also eats everything that goes in there. It's like a picture from one of those I-spy books. I think I was able to fill three garbage bags up with trash and another up with donatable stuff.

I'm so tired right now but everything is looking so much nicer.
Next I'll have to tackle under my bed.
It's scary down there ._.

Kay. So I've been really lazy lately and have fallen back in my 50bookchallenge. Earlier today I decided to get moving again and picked up Mordred, Bastard Son by Douglas Clegg. It's only about 260 pages so I thought it would go by pretty fast.
Well... Not so much.
I'll be honest.
I only bought it because Mordred is gay.
Aside from his steamy subplot affair with Lancelot I found most of the story kinda boring. There really wasn't too much of anything actually going on. But it's the first book in a trilogy so I'll cut it some slack this time. I guess he needed to set up a lot of the character's backgrounds and get everything in line for the next books.

Now. Negative feedback aside. Lets get to the good stuff :3

So, yes. Mordred and Lancelot are a couple and a pretty damn cute one at that. It's so ridiculous though. Mordred spies Lancelot bathing in a river and falls madly in love with him. He then proceeds to stalk him for awhile until Lancelot finally notices him. Lancelot confesses that he has also been stalking Mordred and that he has also fallen in love with him. Mordred then calls Lancelot his "Stag" (seriously) and they proceed to express their love on top of a horse.
That was probably the best six pages I've read all year XD;;

In conclusion.
If you're looking for an engaging book with an amazing plot. Look somewhere else.
If you're like me and just looking for some smexy LancelotxMordred action. Then look no further X3

Oh [info]tsuralai... Where are you when I need you ;_;

This is a little late but...

THE SERPENT BRIDE IS NOW OUT!!! <3

I bought it on Tuesday and haven't really had time to go on the computer as I've been isolated in my room reading it. It's so much fun seeing all these different stories merge into one book. As of right now I'm really not sure who the bad guys are as there are "good" guys on either side of the conflict. Well, actually there is one definite bad guy but everyone else is debatable. It can get a little confusing.

AIE! My favorite character is cripple, alone, and being stalked by a crazy man....
He needs a hug ;_;

Oi, I've been a busy little bee this weekend.

On Saturday morning I went on my first college tour to Hamline University and it made me want to shoot myself. I just sat there for like four hours as they talked about crap I didn't care about. I went on the special fine arts tour but apparently fine arts no longer actually includes any kind of drawing or painting stuff. It was only on music and theatre >.> After asking about what kind of painting classes they had they took me into the basement and showed me these two dilapidated little rooms filled with art stuff. I was extremely unimpressed with the skill of the paintings I saw there. I could have done loads better and I don't really think I'm that good anyway. But we got a free meal out of it so it wasn't a total waste of time (They had an ice cream machine <3)
Oh, and when we were driving back the car in front of us had UKE-635 for a license plate XD

Then I spent another four hours driving around town looking for this book I need for my history class because my SKANK of a teacher doesn't have enough copies for everyone. But I found some books for myself as well (Godchild vol. 5 came out early <3) so that put me in a better mood.

And since then I've been playing my new Pokemon Diamond game.
I'm already up to the fifth gym leader :3

I had this song stuck in my head the other day and just had to go find this video XD

Also, I need book recomendations.
It's for a school project. I need to read a book that has been turned into a movie and write an essay on it. But it needs to be an American author. Ideas are loved <3

Right now I'm in my room, eating Cheez-its, curled up in my down comforter, reading Gravitation Ex.
Does life get much better than that?

Anyway, I'm expecting to come into possession of a good quantity of book within the next couple months and feel like spazing about them. First, was Gravi Ex (which I just got today). Ryuichi is such a little whore >< But I still love him <3... I like want the next one really badly but it's not even on the Tokyopop web site ;_;
I also just got LOVELESS vol. 4 and Dragon Knights vol. 24 but I have yet to read them.
I'm still currently reading the Tamir Trilogy but haven't been able to read a lot as Huckleberry Fin is pretty much taking up all my reading time ><
The next book that I think is due to come out is Lady Friday by Garth Nix. It's the fifth book in his Keys to the Kingdom series and I'm really excited. There is even a countdown on his web site to when this book comes out (20 days now ^^) But I'm sad that even after it does come out it'll be another year before the next book ;_;
What else now...?
Also next month, Day Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko comes out. It's the second book in this really popular Russian trilogy and has also been made into a movie. I read the first book Night Watch and liked it alright but is was three small stories instead of one large story which turned me off a bit. Don't see the movie if you've read the books though. All of the actors were sooooooooooooo ugly and they messed up my two favorite characters. They made one ugly and completely cut the other one out (at least from the international version anyway...) >< I'm still debating if I want to see the next ones...
In May, The Serpent Bride by Sara Douglass comes out. I already kinda talked about this on in an earlier post and I'm so effing excited. It's like a multiple sequel/cross-over series thing where the author took some of her favorite characters from her other books and is putting them into this one. In this other book she wrote I got so many BL vibes that I practically died. Then I found out that both of the characters from that book will be in this one and I was all like: "Homigawdz! If she makes them a couple I'll love her forever."
(MaximilianXGarth 4 eva ですよ。。。)

And now my list of books that are laying around my room half-read and neglected:
-The Harsh Cry Of The Heron by Lian Hearn
-The Egyptian by Mika Waltari
-Kushiels Scion by Jaqueline Carey
-River God by Wilbur Smith
-The fifth (?) Artemis Fowl book by Eoin Colfer
-Corbenic by Catherine Fischer
-Some Stephen King book

And I'm sure there are more somewhere.
I'm a horrible mother ;_;

Yeah, cause I know you all cared about that. I'm done now ^^

Yoyoyo!
I just joined the LJ community 50 Book Challenge.
Basically I'm gonna try to read 50 books by the end of the year.
Wish me luck! ^^

I also just finished reading The Bone Doll's Twin and I really liked it. But it left off in a horrible place and my parents are gone and can't take me to B&N to get the next book. BLARG! >>

Don't know why I find this so amusing... )
