Kay. So I've been really lazy lately and have fallen back in my 50bookchallenge. Earlier today I decided to get moving again and picked up Mordred, Bastard Son by Douglas Clegg. It's only about 260 pages so I thought it would go by pretty fast.
Well... Not so much.
I'll be honest.
I only bought it because Mordred is gay.
Aside from his steamy subplot affair with Lancelot I found most of the story kinda boring. There really wasn't too much of anything actually going on. But it's the first book in a trilogy so I'll cut it some slack this time. I guess he needed to set up a lot of the character's backgrounds and get everything in line for the next books.
Now. Negative feedback aside. Lets get to the good stuff :3
So, yes. Mordred and Lancelot are a couple and a pretty damn cute one at that. It's so ridiculous though. Mordred spies Lancelot bathing in a river and falls madly in love with him. He then proceeds to stalk him for awhile until Lancelot finally notices him. Lancelot confesses that he has also been stalking Mordred and that he has also fallen in love with him. Mordred then calls Lancelot his "Stag" (seriously) and they proceed to express their love on top of a horse.
That was probably the best six pages I've read all year XD;;
In conclusion.
If you're looking for an engaging book with an amazing plot. Look somewhere else.
If you're like me and just looking for some smexy LancelotxMordred action. Then look no further X3
Oh
tsuralai... Where are you when I need you ;_;
